A 2009 review of the debut Duckworth Lewis Method album from Seven Magazine.

The Duckworth Lewis Method - The Duckworth Lewis Method

4 Out Of 5 Stars

Named after the complex formula used to calculate the winners of delayed one-day cricket matches, this is funny, charming, eccentric and delightfully catchy. Which is just what you’d expect of a side project by Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon all about, er, cricket.

The styles range from stomping glam rock to foppish chamber pop, taking in Twenty20 cricket, the founding of Lord’s and a jolly, sweary ditty about being bowled by Shane Warne for a duck.
