The Telegraph: Sticky Wickets Review

The Telegraph takes a look at the new Duckworth Lewis album "Sticky Wickets"

The Duckworth Lewis Method - Sticky Wickets
4 Stars

Most pop songs are about love. Duckworth Lewis prefer to concentrate on cricket, a surprising amount of mileage from their sporting metaphors. This second outing of the joyously silly side project for the Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon and Pugwash’s Thomas Walsh is as much a treat for lovers of Seventies soft rock as cricket obsessives, recreating the melodic joys of ELO and Bread. Most of all it reminds me of the witty pastiches of 10cc. Guest turns from Daniel Radcliffe and Stephen Fry add to the fun.
